30-second summary

I moved a configuration product from verbal requirements to shipped functionality: first encoding states, failures, and acceptance boundaries in a SPEC, then using coding agents across JavaScript and Go implementation, integration, and QA.

Product flow

  1. 01
    Scope boundaries

Define user tasks, permissions, and disclosure limits.

  2. 02
    Write the SPEC

Make states, failures, and acceptance criteria explicit.

  3. 03
    AI Coding

Generate JavaScript and Go implementation from the contract.

  4. 04
    Human review

Check business meaning, constraints, and failure paths.

  5. 05

Resolve cross-layer mismatches with engineering and QA.

  6. 06
    Ship

Close the loop against acceptance evidence.

04

Two key decisions

01

Write an acceptance-ready SPEC before code generation

Why this choice
Most platform complexity sits in states and boundaries; a fixed contract makes generated output objectively reviewable.
Alternative not chosen
Move straight from verbal notes or wireframes into implementation
Tradeoff
More specification work upfront, with less cross-role rework and acceptance ambiguity later.
02

Keep human review and QA as release gates

Why this choice
Generated code accelerates implementation but cannot own business semantics, exception coverage, or launch risk.
Alternative not chosen
Merge coding-agent output automatically
Tradeoff
Delivery is not maximally fast, but shipped behavior is more controlled and traceable.
05

One bad case

The happy path worked while failure states diverged

Symptom
Normal input succeeded, but empty, failed, or repeated actions produced inconsistent frontend messages and backend states.
Diagnosis
The first SPEC captured the feature goal without turning exception branches into shared acceptance criteria.
Response
Added a state table, error semantics, and regression cases, then verified them with engineering and QA.
Outcome
A one-off fix became a reusable specification and test gate.

Project Overview

This platform project supports the configuration of knowledge and strategies for agent applications. My focus went beyond prototyping: I translated product requirements into clear specifications and used AI-assisted development to help deliver working features.

Pain Points & Opportunities

Configuration platforms must balance business expression, interaction efficiency, and engineering constraints. When requirements, rules, and interface behavior are not captured in a shared specification, product ideas are difficult to implement and validate consistently. This case discusses only the public product and AI Coding workflow, without disclosing business rules or internal systems.

Goals & Metrics

The goal was to establish a clear path from requirement definition to launch: produce reviewable product and interaction designs, capture essential behaviors in structured specifications, and use those specifications to guide implementation, integration, and acceptance.

Solution Design

I used a specification-first approach to define page goals, user actions, state changes, and exception boundaries before planning implementation with coding agents. AI Coding was not treated as one-shot prototype generation; it was an iterative process grounded in explicit specifications, verification, and correction.

Execution Plan

I owned requirement scoping and interaction design for related features and contributed to JavaScript frontend and Go backend implementation. I also worked with engineering and QA on integration testing, issue diagnosis, bug fixes, and deployment to keep the shipped behavior aligned with the product specification.

Results Review

The related features completed development, integration, and launch. The work established a specification-driven AI Coding workflow: clarify the problem and boundaries, generate and review the implementation, then validate it through testing. To protect business confidentiality, this page does not include internal metrics, rules, code, or system screenshots.

Iteration Reflection

The value of AI Coding is not limited to faster coding. It can shorten the distance between product judgment and functional validation. In practice, clear specifications, continuous result checks, and explicit handling of failure states determine whether generated code can enter a real delivery workflow.
